Liturgical Resources
Episcopalians in the US and Anglicans in Canada provide liturgical and sacramental resources through a process of review and approval by General Convention in the U.S. and by General Synod in Canada. These are authorized liturgies that are used in parishes. Individuals and parishes in the U.S. can submit new liturgical texts and entire liturgies to their bishop for trial use.
ELCIC and ELCA /Lutherans in church-wide assemblies approve and encourage parishes to use liturgical materials created by church offices or commissions. In contrast to Anglican practice, Lutherans do not require use of approved liturgical materials: a congregation or its leaders can create their own materials.
Authorized liturgies for Episcopal parishes and cathedrals are found here, at the website supervised by the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music.
