A pastor of the ELCA and retired professor of liturgy at the Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia (now United Lutheran Seminary) and occasional lecturer in liturgy at Virginia Theological Seminary, Dr. Lathrop will lead a discussion of the calling and spirituality of the preacher. He is the author of The Pastor: A Spirituality (2006) and Lectionary Mosaics: Three Readings Juxtaposed for Reflection and Proclamation (2023).
