Metaphors of Eucharistic Presence

Metaphors of Eucharistic Presence, with Stephen Shaver
Thursday, November 19, 11 AM (Pacific), 2 PM (Eastern)

How are we to grasp the presence of Christ in the Eucharist? Join Fr. Stephen Shaver, rector of the Church of the Incarnation (Santa Rosa) and author of Metaphors of Eucharistic Presence: Language, Cognition, and the Body and Blood of Christ (Oxford, 2021), as he offers a novel and intriguing way of considering the central sacrament of Christian nourishment. For anyone who preaches, teaches, prepares music, and serves on a worship committee.

To register, send an email with EUCHARIST in the subject line to openaplm@gmail.com no later than Monday, November 16. Zoom link and handout will be emailed on November 18.
